The “Al-Asha” event in the historical district of Manfuha, narrates in a diverse creative way the life story of the Arab poet Maymoon bin Qais bin Jandal, nicknamed “Al-Asha”, since his birth in Manfuha in 570AD until his death. Visitors from different segments of society and their age groups until January 5, in Al-Faryan Street in the historical Manfuha district, where the event presents various interactive cultural activities, simulating the life of the poet’s night from birth until his death, through his upbringing and the surroundings in which he lived. The event includes 9 sections: interactive (story) theatre, three-dimensional performances, children's corner, Al-Asha Museum, crafts and shops area, arts and music area, restaurants and cafes area, performance theatre, and virtual dinner museum. The sections include plays and poetry evenings that embody the poet's life and poems. The famous, and musical pieces by Saudi musicians in the corridors of the neighbourhood, inspired by history, and a storyline of the life of “Al-Asha” in addition to the participation of painters, photographers and sculptors with their creativity, in addition to activities for children and traditional crafts that simulate the crafts used in that period.
