Yanbu’s well-developed coast, scenic lake, and historic area (that houses a building where Lawrence of Arabia stayed!) make it the perfect destination for a leisurely weekend jaunt.

Day 1:

Bask in the Early Morning Sun at the Waterfront

Located within the confines of Yanbu Al-Sina'iya, the waterfront boasts a powdery sand beach, manicured lawns, and a selection of free-to-use exercise areas. You’re bound to come across the Yanbu light tower along the coast, it’s one of the highest vantage points in the city.

Loll at the Luxuriant Yanbu Lake

One of the largest man-made lakes in the country, Yanbu Lake is a botanical wonderland housing flora from around the world. A few steps in and it’s almost as if one is transported to a magical oasis.

Shop ‘til You Drop at Dana Mall

One of the earliest malls in the city, Dana Mall houses an eclectic mix of international brands alongside homegrown ones that are quickly gaining popularity and making their mark. While you’re here, don’t miss out on the food court that has heaps to satisfy any palate from cheese smothered fries or creamy rich sundaes.

Day 2:

Learn About Yanbu’s Past

Yanbu has a rich and lively history. The old area of town—where multi-story buildings made of coral still stand boldly—will pull you through time. While you rove through its maze-like alleys, don’t forget to check out Lawrence of Arabia’s former residence that has been restored to perfection.

Dive in the Sharm Yanbu Bay

Situated in the northern part of the city, Sharm Yanbu is quickly becoming a tourist magnet. The coral-rich waters of the Sharm Yanbu bay area is a diver’s delight. If diving is not your cup of tea, you can always visit Sharm Yanbu to try your hand at watersports, rent a yacht, or just enjoy balmy sea breezes at one of the many resorts here.

Satiate Your Seafood Cravings

Yanbu’s prime location on the Red Sea means you can enjoy exemplary seafood no matter the time of year. To get a local flavor head to the old port area near Yanbu’s iconic lighthouse. You’ll find several seafood restaurants in the vicinity serving fish as fresh as it comes. Hamour and Najil are the local favorites, and you may want to start your dinner with a serving of grilled prawns.
